I feel that everything in my life has brought me to this point. I remember grieving even the thought of leaving Shining Star Waldorf school in Portland, Oregon. When it was time for me to move on in my life's journey I remember telling Mrs. Marsha how much I would miss the school and she clearly told me "you can start your own school wherever you are". I told her that there was no way and that I didn't have the knowledge or the "know how". Ladybug Love has been a dream of mine for many years and I dedicate it in honor of my mother, as I do with every new endeavor since her passing. She is truely the light that shines through me. She once told me that life is not really meaningful without children, that she can't imagine not having children, and that she couldn't relate to people who didn't want children. She was the very essence of fun....My childhood memories are magical and a bit crazy, sometimes stressful, but overall I was blessed.... My biggest reason for wanting to start Ladybug Love is because I have always wanted to go to a natural childcare center and attend a Waldorf inspired school and now I can, right in the midst of my very own home.
My mom and I were in Anacortes, Washington and of course she yells.... stop the car.... as she always did when she saw an antique store. We went in and she was into everything as usual. She saw a wooden baby cradle and wanted it badly. She was always trying to get a good deal so she made up a story that it would be for my Waldorf school in Lake Havasu and that the lady needed to give us an amazing deal. I whispered "mom what Waldorf school?" Shhh she said I am trying to get a discount. I am sure the lady heard me but gave us a steal of a deal and wished me well with the school as I was walking out of the antique store. My mama's intuition was always a bit ahead of the times.

This is beautiful. She would be sooooo proud. You are an amazing woman, and you are right-- her light shines through you. I'm so glad to see your dream coming true!
