Great Grandma Turns 85..... born 2/4/1924

Great Grandma turned 85 years old today. My life would not be what it has been without her. She has truely spoiled me rotten. We have traveled 7 countries in Europe together, cruised all over Hawaii, and She visited me in Australia. She loaned me money to go sky diving and to the Bahama's while I was working at Walt Disney World. She has bought all my clothing since I was a little. Grandma helped me get my 1970 V.W Campervan. It is named EMINNIE after her. Recently she helped us with a downpayment for the house we are living in now and insisted that she put up the pool fence ( so that the kids would be safe). She has done all of this without ever asking for anything in return. The best gift of all that she has given is her gift of unconditional love. Grandma I would not be me without you.... You have taught me so much about the gift of love and giving.

My little photographer Emerald took all of these photo's of Jade on the swing. Maybe someday she will be a photographer like her great grandpa or her Aunt Amy in Portland. She takes some pretty amazing shots for a three year old.

Most of today was spent playing outside. I had a hard time getting them to come inside today for anything. I decided to surrender and let them be happy playing outdoors. We all took out the recycling together. They loved throwing the plastic jugs of organic milk because of the sound they made. We also put our leftover food in the compost. That was pretty sinky. We have alot to learn about composting. We would like to start a worm bin. Today was a beautiful day again in Havasu. The kids were a joy. I love my job.

Emerald says Yummy Yummy in my Tummy......
The blessing that we use is ......

Thank you father, Thank you father,
for our food, for our food,
all of us together, all of us together,
Thank you God
Amen

What I love most about Duke is that he will eat anything and everything that I cook, No matter how healthy it is.... Thanks Duke.....

Tuesday is Painting Day

It was such an amazingly beautiful day here in Havasu we just had to move our painting station outside.

Welcome our friend Justin, He is such an artist... I made a comment about him being a artist because he loved chalk drawing and painted longer then anyone else. My favorite part of the day is when I went to wash out the wooden bowls he quickly and quietly took a piece of chalk and drew on the chairs, table, handwashing stool and started on the wall in the dining room. "Oh my" I said, " you are quite the artist. " I was hoping we could save the chalk for the outside walls and for the chalk boards." He nodded ok . He definately has some talent... I will always remember Justin's first day. The thing that I love most about Justin is his artistic talent.

He did other things too. He played with flashlights and shadows and he stacked the wooden block puzzle up as high as I think it would go.

Flames and Shadows, Cleansing

What I love most about Jade is her laugh when she is really exited. She is such a joy.

Shadows.......

If I walk, my shadow walks.
If I run my shadow runs
And when I stand still , as you can see
My shadow stands beside me.

When I hop, my shadow hops,
When I jump, my shadow jumps,
And when I sit still, as you can see,

My shadow sits beside of me.

Every one was game for drawing chalk are on the block wall.

Thank You Organic Produce Gals.....
A very special visitor came to deliver our Organic Produce and also informed us how to make applesauce. Becky from the Organic Produce Gals........ You are the best. The kids scarfed the apples and the kiwi.
Eme and Jade and thier sweet chalk board drawings.
Jade loves the Kanoe

My most favorite part of the day is when Eme and Jade got to watch the hummingbird that lives in the mesquite tree next door take a bath in the water fountain.... Emerald named it Kevacicle.
Our neighbor wants to cut the tree down. I hope it stays.
